Sage 50 Job Controller provides all the functionality required for manufacturing companie s who operate within a jobbing or non-repetitive environment. A powerful estimating tool enables you to provide accurate and timely quotations for work. Stock is allocated and issued against jobs, instantly updating your Sage 50 accounts.
Invoices can be raised for all or parts of jobs, and to help manage your costs more effectively, you can see actual costs versus estimates. Furthermore, the profitability of each job can be monitored continuously so you can keep full control of each job as it progresses.
Helping Manage Your Projects
The software contains a powerful estimating tool. It allows you to quote multiple batch sizes and has a fast entry grid-style screen for creating estimates. Estimates can be processed through the MPS/MRP facility or converted directly to works orders. Time can be saved when creating estimates for similar jobs. All items, including operational expenses, can be copied from an actual works order. This captures everything that happened during the initial production, to provide an accurate estimate that can be easily amended to suit the new customer's requirements.
When jobs are being produced, the software records costs against each project when stock is issued and when manpower is assigned at each stage in production. You can then produce picking lists, route cards, operation cards and job sheets. The software also includes an optional, but extremely powerful link to automatically make entries for cost of sales and work in progress.
Businesses are increasingly asked to conform to their customers' ISO:9001 quality requirements. Sage 50 Job Controller enables manufacturers to satisfy those demands for better control by providing batch traceability for every component.
When all or part of a job is completed, Sage 50 Job Controller updates the job record so invoices can be raised and each job’s profitability can be reviewed. Invoices can be raised for services and/or parts.
Actual costs may be reviewed against estimated costs, using the software’s unique spreadsheet style summary. Actuals exceeding estimates are displayed in red. Analysis is supported with a ‘drill-down’ facility that provides details of individual actual cost entries.
